Tees that get attention

Picked up this Pressbox tee from Student
Stores at UNC, during my homecoming

More tees please!! I love tees. I would much rather throw on a cute t-shirt than a blouse any day. So the other day I just couldn't get it together...I grabbed the Carolina Tar Heels tee above, with some pink leggings and a black skirt with a long Calvin Klein cardigan that zips two ways. I wonder if I could pull off wearing a tee to court...hmmm...

My photographer, who I work with in my day job, actually liked the comfy chic ensemble...though it was definitely not conservative work environment appropriate. The tee is actually from an NC brand, Pressbox Apparel.

Because the fit is slim, this tee can clandestinely hide under layers, and add a surprise to an otherwise humdrum ensemble.  A tee can be chic. I don't care what anyone says! Designers are making tees more girly these days with their choices of fabrics and cuts.  Message tees will continue to trend in Spring and Summer 2014, and designers are bringing back bold logos on apparel as well.

Of course men are not left out:

Kid. Original Logo Tee
For the fellas from Kid. A Sidney based
tee shirt label.

Kid. - Geek
Geek tee from Kid.

What do you think? Can tees be chic? Are you a tee kinda gal?
