Products for skin improvement

YBBGStyle is still in search of products for skin improvement

Hey y'all, I've consistently blogged about my skin issues, from acne prone skin to skin aging issues like fine lines and wrinkles. Thanks to Insta Natural products, I've actually got the skin aging issues under control. I have consistently used Insta Natural's moisturizers and serums, after reviewing some of their products. I'm currently out of the Vitamin C Toner, but will order some soon.

Now, my most serious skin issue these days is scarring left from sun damage and acne. It's amazing to me that I had better skin throughout my late teens and twenties than I do now. I guess I should blame it on hormones?

Recently, I had an opportunity to try out new products for skin improvement: Radha Beauty's Clearing Serum and Insta Natural's Dead Sea Mud Mask. I'm all about natural products and need something that isn't harsh on my already sensitive skin.
Radha Beauty's Clearing Serum

About the Product
Skin Clearing & Anti Aging Serum for face, wrinkles, acne & blemished skin with Vitamin C Serum 20%, Retinol 2.5%, Salicylic Acid 2%, Hyaluronic Acid, Rosehip and Lavender Oil
Radha Beauty's Professional Age-Defyin Skin Clearing Serum is all natural and gentle on the skin according to it's creator. I can attest to it being very gentle on the skin. My skin irritates quite easily. I once used a natural skin toner from another company and it literally burned my skin. I still have scars from it. So yeah, my skin is super sensitive.
I've been using Radha Beauty's Clearing Serum for over a week now and it has caused absolutely no skin irritation. As a matter of fact, I like it. A little goes a long way. I use one pump and it goes on all over my face and neck and absorbs quickly. I have noticed my skin starting to brighten in problem areas, but it does not have a bleaching effect. (No Sammy Sosa...)
I even like the packaging. It is sleek and convenient. It actually reminds me of the aftershave pumps guys use. You just tap the top and a small amount of the liquid comes out. The only thing I don't like is the smell. It has a strong odor (probably from the strong formula of active ingredients like Vitamin C, Retinol, botanical hyaluronic acid, salicylic acid and Niacinamide), but the scent doesn't stay with you after applied, which is good.
So far so good with this product. I would definitely recommend it.

Now for the product that I wasn't too impressed with... InstaNatural's Dead Sea Mud Mask Holistic Detoxifier & Purifier.

About the Product
InstaNatural’s Dead Sea Mud Mask is an all-natural detoxifier and purifier that comes from the renowned and sacred Dead Sea. More than a million visitors each year flock to this extraordinary body of water in the Mediterranean, which contains many minerals beneficial to the skin, such as magnesium, sodium, bromine, potassium and calcium.

Once applied, this mud mask treatment starts working to absorb excess oil, dirt and toxins from the skin. It is great to expunge acne, pimples and blackheads. It also helps to restore an even skin tone for a smoother complexion. When used as a body treatment, the mud mask can soothe and relieve muscles aches and pains.

Whether used on the face or the body, our Dead Sea Mud Mask is a superb in-home spa treatment that will reveal more vibrant, refined, healthier skin.

The Dead Sea Mud Mask is supposed to draw all the impurities out of your skin. The product itself feels like the Ghost Buster's slime stuff from back in the 80s. It is a dark sea green color. It has absolutely no odor, which is great.

As per the directions, I apply a thin layer of the product on my face and neck. It is very cool and refreshing going on, which is great. The issue for me is what happens as it dries. The Dead Sea Mud Mask dries really tightly, I suppose it is because it pulls out the impurities while it dries.

As stated above, I have very sensitive skin. As this product dries, my skin itches severely! Maybe I have a lot of impurities? I don't know. But it dries tightly and itchy. It also leaves my skin really dry.

I've only used it three times, once a week, and it really hasn't caused any skin issues other than the itchy feeling while drying. I cannot say that it does not work, I just don't like how it works.

My skin feels very smooth after using, but I definitely have to moisturize right after.

  1. I haven't tried their Dead Sea Mask, but I love their Argan Oil. Sounds like this is another great product from InstaNaturals.

  2. I think I'd probably like the Dead Sea Mask, but that's frustrating that you can't really tell a difference from when you started using it and now. I just recently had a baby, so my skin is ALL over the place and figuring skincare stuff out in your 30's is waaaaaaaaaaay different than it was in my teens and 20s.

  4. I don't think I could deal with the severe itching and tightness! But I definitely feel you on hormones being the cause of pretty much *ahem* EVERYTHING that goes wrong with my skin. They're the worst sometimes!

  5. I always have to be careful with skin cleansers, I break out really easy.
