My Black was cracking: anti aging moisturizer review

Hey ladies and gents!!! I know it has been awhile! I've been extremely busy, but I plan to come back here regularly to tell y'all about new and old stuff in style and beauty...from a tomboy's perspective.

Today's story is about how Burt's Bees Intense Hydration day lotion saved my face! LOL

As you can see from the title and the picture...this is about skin. I have detailed my skin issues before ...but with all the problems I had, wrinkles were never one.

No fine lines, no crows feet...nothin! I'm over 30 and I have seen classmates showing signs of aging, so I had some concerns. But I was in the clear... I was so thrilled and started buying into the "Black don't crack" mantra for myself. "Black don't crack" is a saying that lends itself to the notion that melanin rich skin doesn't wrinkle that much.

Well...let me tell you...the sun didn't care about my melanin levels...or it did and I just didn't have enough. (Thank goodness for Burt's Bees Intense Hydration) After weeks of working out outside my face began to crack and crack badly. I was distraught!

My mom has glorious skin as does my sister. We are all known for looking younger than our actual ages...and here I was turning into a prune.

I had sunscreen, medicated moisturizers and everything I could think of to nurse my skin back to health. I even started thinking of ways to pay for plastic surgery... (I know...dramatic...hahahaha)

Then one day...there it was like an anti-aging oasis: Burt's Bees Intense Hydration!  I've done a product review before for Burt's skin line products and they were pretty decent. But nothing I've tried anywhere else compares to Burt's Bees Intense Hydration!

I'm not being paid or compensated in any way to say this!

I love this stuff and after two weeks the cracks in my face began to vanish and my skin went from dry and sallow to moist and supple! I am happy!! So I most definitely recommend you getting this moisturizer!

    1. I've tried a lot of their products. I was especially a fan of their shampoos and conditioners.
