LeapFrog LEAPBAND and other fitness gifts

That's my fitness record after using the Life Fitness elliptical last night for a quick 30 minute cardio workout.
Fitness is one of my goals for life.

I also want to see my whole family fit as well. I'm focused on fit gifts from here on out. Things like pedometers, stainless steel water bottles and LeapFrog LeapBands are gifts I'm giving for birthdays.

You can give great fitness gifts for birthdays no matter the age of the recipient.  Here are some examples:

FITNESS GEAR

JOIAnyc running jacket found at Marshalls.

Fitness Gift: JOIANYC running jacket.
I love this jacket that I picked up as a gift to myself for reaching some fitness goals after a workout with my "fitbuddy". We stopped by the Marshalls in Metropolitan in Charlotte after a workout. (The one pictured is at a different Marshalls.)

My Favorite Feature of this running jacket is the built in mittens:

FITNESS GADGETS

LEAPBAND from Leap Frog found at Best Buy.

Two of my nieces had birthdays right before Christmas. As a winter baby myself (my birthday is a week from today), I know how important it is to get gifts that are useful.

This LEAPBAND is great for kids because it gets them moving through games! Both girls love it (they are 4 and 6) because it is interactive.

The Band encourages movent and it's fun! I ran around with my 4yo niece over the holidays. This is a great birthday gift to counteract couch potato kids!

GOOD NUTRITION

So everyone is juicing these days to lose weight and what not. I have this Hamilton Beach Juicer that I haven't used yet, but plan on it, but not for weight loss.
Fitness Gift: Hamilton Beach juicer for good nutrition

I'm not a soda drinker at all, but I notice people drinking tons of soda everyday which has absolutely no nutritional value. The sad thing is, most juices you buy don't have much nutritional value either.

However, if you buy your own fruits and veggies, you can make your own juice while maintaining the healthy benefits.

I think a juicer is a great gift for anyone because the recipient will have control over what goes in his or her body . That's a pretty great gift!

What do y'all think about giving good nutrition, fitness gadgets and gear as gifts?

  1. I think you need to know your audience. It might come off as hey I think you're fat and out of shape so here something to help that. Personally I would love it but I know my sister would hate me forever.

  2. I love receiving fitness gifts. I like the jacket you found at Marshall's. The mittens would be perfect for running on a cold day.
