Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum -Review

YBBG Style product review
Valentia Nite Revive Retinol Serum

So, I'm slowly creeping up on having "mature skin." In other words, I'm around the age when fine lines and wrinkles may start to creep in. At this point diet, exercise and a good skincare regimen are extremely important. I'm currently incorporating some new products into my skincare routine. Luckily, I've been able to test out some products from the brand Valentia.

The most recent product is their Night Revive Retinol Serum.

Like most mature skin, my skin has suffered
all kinds of damage
including: sun damage, acne scarring and
chemical burns from product sensitivity.
Skincare consists of what you put in your body (food, vitamins, minerals, water (hydration)), what you put on your face, and what you take off, and good sleep. I ignored having a regimen for the majority of my life. Now I'm developing a regimen that is split into three parts: AM, PM and Weekend.

AM: Have breakfast, take a multi-vitamin and a B-12 supplement, wash with a tea tree based cleanser, apply a vitamin C based toner, and finish with a moisturizer (right now my go to is Valentia Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer.)

PM: Before bed...wash with an exfoliating cleanser, apply an anti-aging serum, apply moisturizer and eye serum. Get to sleep at a decent hour.

WEEKEND: If I catch a good discount on a professional facial, I will schedule one and have at it. But most of the facials I do are DIY. I cleanse, scrub, exfoliate, extract blackheads, apply a detox mask, apply a cooling mask, steam my face, apply an anti-aging serum, and apply a moisturizer.

Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum
is made with natural products and
Cruelty Free as well as Vegan Friendly.

Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum claims to do a number of things:

  • Diminishes wrinkles
  • Stimulates collagen
  • Improves skin tone
  • Manages breakouts
  • Conditions skin

Many brands make claims as to the efficacy of their products, but can you always take them at their word?

I have only used the Night Revive Retinol Serum a couple of times, so I want to try it for at least thirty days before I give it a thumbs up or down. It is recommended that you use the product two to three nights per week, and I've only had it for about a week.

What I do not like:
The product comes in a small 1.18 oz bottle and dispenses with a dropper. I can say that I do not like the consistency of the product as it is very watery, and I am used to serums having a somewhat thicker consistency. I feel like I don't know how much product to use.

What I do like:
I do like that the product absorbs well into your skin and doesn't feel sticky, nor does it leave any type of filmy residue. Valentia uses natural products and organic products that are targeted toward repairing damaged skin. The ingredients in the product balance each other out and nourish your skin. Night Revive Retinol Serum contains:

  • Retinol (Vitamin A): Works at the cellular level to stop winkles, manage breakouts, and evens out skin discoloration.
  • Vitamin C: Guards skin against environmental free-radicals to prevent premature aging.
  • Vitamin E: Provides intense hydration to diminish the drying effects of retinol.
  • Squalane: Derived for pure olive oil to soften and condition delicate skin.

I am definitely willing to continue using this product to see how well it works because I've used Valentia's moisturizer and loved it! It works so well that other people are noticing. For instance:

I ran into a writing client the other day and she said, "Oh my gosh, you look so great!" I politely said thanks, and readied to get down to business. She continued on, "I mean, you look amazing! Your skin looks so bright. You look happy! It's like you're glowing. Are you dating again?"

After cracking up laughing, I said "No, it's just a new moisturizer!" Seriously, I have noticed a marked improvement in my skin since using the Valentia Pure Glow Moisturizer. I can honestly say that it has lived up to its billing.

As for the Night Revive Retinol Serum, we are in the wait to see mode. If you'd like to try it, you can use this discount code NLOQYJ4W  for 20% off. Hurry, the code only last thirty-days.
